THE AGENT PITCH-A-THON IS CLOSED TO REGISTRATION. THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PARTICIPATION
No doubt about it. These are tough times for in-person events. The San Francisco Writers Conference and Writing for Change have had to pivot to virtual events in the blink of an eye to keep viable in this pandemic economy. But community support is one of the strongest parts of the publishing industry and we are beyond thankful to the wonderful literary agents who have participated in our events in the past and have agreed to donate their time to listen to six live 10-minute writer pitches during the month of September as a Fundraiser for our nonprofit 501c3 organization.
Here’s how the Agent Pitch-A-Thon will work.
We have 16 agents signed up.
When you’ve looked over the list of their areas of interest (below) or clicked on the agency name to learn more about them, and you’ve decided which agent you want to give a 10-minute pitch to (via Skype, Zoom, phone or some other mutually agreeable method of communication—they will contact you), click on the agent’s “Register to Pitch” link below to be taken to their Pitch-A-Thon registration page. If appointments for your first choice are already full, select another agent.
Fill out the registration form for that agent and pay your $49.
The agent will contact you to set up a time/date to chat at a mutually agreeable time in the month of September.
(Note: Veronica Park is only interested in pitches from #ownvoices authors.)
It’s that simple. Not only will you get to pitch live to an agent, and if you have time left ask them questions after you’ve given them your pitch, you’ll be supporting a nonprofit that has dedicated itself to supporting literacy, reading, and writing for the past 18 years. Help us help you!
